Link your LoL account: verified badge and more benefits

Why create an account?

Who Is Better has always been free and without mandatory registration. That doesn't change. But now, if you want, you can sign in and link your League of Legends account to get extra benefits.

How to sign in

You can sign in with Discord or Google. We don't ask for a password or create a new account. We simply use your existing account from these platforms.

1. Click the SIGN IN button in the navigation bar
2. Choose Discord or Google
3. Authorize the connection
4. Done, you now have an account

Your name and avatar are automatically taken from the platform you choose.

How to link your LoL account

Once you're signed in, you can link your League of Legends account. This process verifies that the account is actually yours.

Step 1: Find your account

Go to Settings and click "Link account". Enter your summoner name, tag, and region. The system looks up your account through the Riot Games API.

Step 2: Verify with your icon

To prove the account is yours, we ask you to change your profile icon in the League of Legends client to a specific one we indicate. It's a random number (for example, icon #14).

Here's how it works:

1. Open the League of Legends client
2. Go to your profile
3. Change your icon to the one shown on screen
4. Go back to Who Is Better and click "Verify"

The system checks if your current icon matches the one we asked for. If it matches, your account is verified.

Step 3: You're all set!

You can change your icon back to the one you had before. The verification is already saved.

What benefits do I get?

Verified badge

Your name appears with a blue verified badge in every comparison you're part of. This tells everyone that the account is really yours.

Automatic forms

In comparison, challenge, and competition forms, your Riot ID fills in automatically. You don't have to type your name, tag, and region every time. The system already knows.

Frequently asked questions

Is creating an account mandatory? No. You can use Who Is Better without an account, just like always. The account is optional and adds extra benefits.

Is my data safe? We only access public data from the Riot Games API. We don't store passwords or sensitive data. You can read our privacy policy for more details.
